It's October and it's too close to winter.

Not sure yet Tom...
I know that the last two weeks in getting ready for the final day were very hard on me both physically (worked 12-16 hours a day copying files, writing turnover documents, trying to figure out what I was forgetting, etc) and emotionally...
I've never walked off a job before without having something else lined up immediately...
So for years now, I'd been looking forward to that day when I would hang up my spurs... My imagination had me running out the door, jumping up in the air and clicking my heals...
Instead...
It was just terrible dread.. Actually almost making me want to puke...
So - today I am better, but still not entirely sure I made the right decision. Hopefully will get better soon.

Nothing too terrible has gone wrong. Broken mud flap, flat tires, broken end gates, etc. Had clay County sheriff want us to bring the skid steer out and clean up the beets that spilled from the end gate chains breaking.

Good evening everyone.
I can understand the feelings Randy, it must be tough to walk away from something you've given so much to over the years. My dad just retired a few months ago and I think he's going through the same thing to some extent.
In other news, spent the afternoon truck shopping and just couldn't pull the trigger. Had a good deal lined up on a new Ram, then went and showed the wife the new F150s that we liked better. Once they drew up the documents it hit me that I was about to go another $30,000 in debt once I signed on the dotted line. Had to walk away to reevaluate, and perhaps I should look at cheaper things.
The new F150s are impressive though. The truck I was ready to buy had 3.31 gears, and I got to stretch its legs a bit on the last test drive. I don't speed, but I love to accelerate. And without meaning to, this thing lit up the rears all through second gear on the on ramp.

Good evening guys!
Another Saturday football game in the books. Half way through the season now.
Tom, I understand where you are coming from there. I was looking at newer Super Duties and I can do it. I just can't spend 40-50 grand on a truck. I don't have any payments now, and I like it that way.

Good morning everyone!
Thanks guys. I'll figure this out sooner or later! Probably sooner. Self control has always been a problem of mine, but I seem to be getting at least a little better.
