CT Octtober's Halloween BS Thread.

Good morning Andy.
I looked at CR before ever going to the dealer. My last office in Manchester had a Grand Caravan that seemed to be plagued with minor build-quality issues. So that's my number one concern at the moment.
If you do I'll be pissed! I missed Sandy by a few weeks, and it would be my luck to miss the next one by the same.

Morning.
I heard someone say storms are not fun. It's just which side of the bar your on. Dock and Dine in Old Saybrook had a bar and whenever there was a big storm coming in I would go in and order an Scotch on the rocks and sit there until the water started to come through the floor and they would kick us out. Can't do that anymore, They took the place down to rebuild it and the town of Old Saybrook has screwed with them ever since.
As far as the storm hitting, it's to early to tell. We are in the projected path. Anywhere between North Carolina to Maine.
Tom, I know you look at everything when buying a vehicle, but remember this:

IN other news, the Ram temptation is temporarily removed. Looks like I lost about $1,500 in incentives overnight, so what once was a fantastic deal is less so. Still looking!

The last time I was in CO I rented a truck and they unfortunately only had a dodge on the lot. I can't say I really disliked it overall , but there were plenty of complaints and problems I had with it. Uconnect was far worse than any experience I've ever had with the sync in my car. I also despised the cylinder deactivation. Never had an engine that big, but it would take quite a while for the truck to sort itself out and get any kind of acceleration. The back seat was also not particularly roomy. One thing I did particularly like, as odd as it might be, was the steering wheel. It was considerably thicker, and had a nice touch to it.

Morning.
45 degrees out there with light rain. How do I know this? My dogs got me up early this morning to go out. A lot of pacing. Note the temp in the camper is 56 degrees. Perfect weather for me.
Was looking at some of the old trucks that are being rebuilt and there is a lot of work and money going into them. I find it so cool how they are updating the brakes and systems. Just works of enjoyment that are amazing.
Tortellini soup at 2 today. Kathy making it in the crook pot. 6 hours of cooking and she made pumpkin spice shots last night, they are in the freezer. About 30 shots nice and cold.
A little rain doesn't stop camping. A little boy scout in all of us.

Morning.
A little windy and a dose of rain was yesterday at the campground. We didn't let that stop us. Went over to the pavilion and put up three large tarps closing off a third of the pavilion. Then got a good fire going, Note a lot of wood that people want to get rid of before camping ends on October 29th. Kathy made Tortellini soup in the crock pot and 30 pumpkin spice pudding shots. Dave did a dish in a dutch oven with small red potato, garlic, some type of cheese and onions. Crisp from cooking in a duck fat. He also mad steamed clams. Jim mad clam cakes. Sue made beef stew. Chris and his wife made two types of pulled pork ( sweet and hot). There was salad and a birthday cake for Peggy.
Never let a little rain and wind stop us.Started at 2 pm. I went back to the camper at 10 and they were still going with beer, wine, and fire ball shots.
