that's why you have to have a mechanic you can trust. i've known my mechanic's dad, brother, grandfather, mother and grand mother since i was a kid. great family, so i know he won't rip me off.
i wouldn't trust a dealership's shop EVER.

Thankfully, no issues and a fresh year of safety stickers. Do have to do brakes before spring, but that's not a big deal...everything else is good to go.

Morning Jim and Craig. Meeting's not for an hour, I thought it was at 8....ugh.
I appreciate the compliment - I do work hard to take care of my stuff. Only thing with the OBS is that I don't have space at the house (won't fit in the garage and my house is situated on a hillside) to jack it up to check brakes, ball joints, etc. myself before I sent it in...so that was the question in my mind.

Hi Rob, hi Pat.
Pat, new started didn't work. grrrr. A guy I work with said that the out of box failure rate is 10% to 15%. He used to work at a company that rebuilt these things. But it might not even be the starter. More investigation needed!

Howdy Steve. Hey, are the cables all pretty new? I had one that looked great, but had started to corrode inside... it was just beyond the clamp and under the rubber coating. Shorted everything out.
