Will 'officer' krewat allow this? I dunno, but if I was speeding along Gage Avenue @ 90 MPH, you wouldn't give me a warning, you'd write me a fat ticket!

 

OK..let me add some info to this thread to make it informative

Ford was horrible at rust proofing in these years... Inner panels were many times bare metal
Have other owners found this to be true ... And if so are there any rust free trucks east of the Rockies

 

It depends... if you told me you didnt want to get robbed and it was 2 am and you were a regular citizen Id smile.. and say.. drive safe slow down


Now rust.. in our trucks... I wonder why ford didnt run them through a primer bath like the newer trucks.. after all they know they were going to rust badly on the eastern part of the US...

I can remember aftermarket companies like Ziebart doing brisk businesses on new trucks.. even some of the dealers got in on it
