Steering shaft ground on 76 F150 4x4
I recently replaced my steering shaft with one from a salvage yard , nothing wrong with it just the flex joint was stiff .So I sprayed it with PB blaster which is a good penetrating oil I was told . Installed it with a new rag joint from NAPA . Made a jumper wire over the rag joint for a ground connection . Then I tried the horn and nothing . Clipped a jumper wire above the flex joint to ground and the horn works . Re attached the jumper wire below the flex joint to ground and the horn is dead . What did the PB blaster do to the continuity through the flex joint on the steering shaft ? Seems I am going to have to make another jumper wire for ground above to below the flex joint .
