Just installed this app. What gauges can I use? For example, the app has a boost gauge but it's reading 0. Does the truck not monitor this?

 

I have a few questions before we dive in here:

• What OBDII adapter do you have?
• Did you pair it if it's Bluetooth?
• Did you select your adapter in the app?
• Did you select J1850 PWM as the protocol when connected to the truck?

 

Elm327 wifi adapter. This is what the app called for. It's been connected a couple times. It shows up ad a wifi network. I'm using an IPad.

 

Ah... this one from Asia for between $5 and $15?




The OBD Fusion website shares this: "All ELM327 compatible Wi-Fi adapters including OBDLink MX Wi-Fi"

I'm partial to the OBDLink MX in WiFi or BT ($100 and real support), but that's not to say your adapter won't work. Going into the app settings, these apps allow you to select your default adapter, it should find yours on the list when you set the adapter type to WiFi. You then want to set the default protocol to J1850 PWM - that's the language your truck speaks.

 

That's the one. I'm sure it'll break. But it'll work for now. I'm hoping Santa brings me AE. I'll try those settings later. Thanks.
