Should I wait for the 2016 F150?

I currently have a 2011 Ecoboost crew 4x4. Interested in getting a new F150 with the 5.0. The 2015's have some nice incentives now but I just read a few improvements the 2016 models will have. Wondering if it's worth waiting for. Any thoughts?

I'd wait for the 16. Better features and options. While the 15 will have better incentives, it is already a year old (or will be soon).

If you can wait then wait, and put an order in for exactly what you want. You should be able to get the better rebates when the truck comes in, and more importantly, you would be surprised how much you can save by not getting an over equipped unit, or compromising by missing something. While there are sometimes deals on very old units, and as mentioned there are higher rebates for last years models, it's generally a myth that you have to spend more on an order.

I managed to find a 15 with everything I wanted and rebates were too good to pass up.

Order banks for 2016 are open now. For most units the plant starts next month, and the RC trucks will be November. They'll start with the existing orders of course. I'd say you'd be looking at early 2016 if you ordered now, but it could be sooner. Fords telling us 14-16 week turn around. I'd imagine there is still a few production delays. The frame issue we know and seems to have been resolved, but they had some other delays like some of the HD packs and extended tanks. Not sure if there is any carry over or not. I never really heard any explanations.

The United Auto Workers union is getting ready to strike Ford Motor Co.’s truck plant in Kansas City, Mo., putting one of the company’s most important factories at risk for a work stoppage.

Figures. UAW needs to pad their campaign fund for Queen Hillary '16, so of course they'll take an American product that is actually successful hostage. That 25% dues hike in '14 was vital for the Union, because Dennis Williams needed to keep taking home almost $170k a year to lie about building the strike fund, when really he just wants to help coronate the Queen. Young people know what's up with where these dollars are really going, and UAW trying to force the two-tier structure with Fiat on members is proof enough the union doesn't have any real leverage anymore, because they've been focusing on optics and politics, instead of actually representing the real needs of their members.

Since the 16's are ready to roll, I'd wait.

I'm going to try to order a 2016 f-150 and hopefully I'll get this one, I ordered a 2015 RC short box 4x4 XLT and after waiting for 10 mo. Ford cancelled the order even after it had been issued a VIN # and three separate build dates, the 2016 looks like a great truck, like the new features, maybe 2016?

You should be good CrownVic. The RC got pushed out by the frame shortage last year and that shortage has been resolved. We didn't get a single RC for our lot all year. The strike was averted as well.

Da** unions! It's time for the UAW and ever other labor union to go away. You want to know why all of our jobs got shipped overseas, look at the unions and ask them!
And why does Ford and the rest of the big 3 keep bowing down to these anti-American a-holes anyway?

An agreement was met, the strike didn't happen so the 16's will roll as needed.

Good. Although that means that Ford probably had to give something else away just to keep these cry-babies happy!
I once turned down a job because it meant there was a union involved! I firmly believe the labor unions have long outlived their usefulness in America. They have become too big and too powerful; and are only making things worse now for the American working class. I could go on but yinz probably don't me getting political on ya'!
