Are tie rods too difficult a procedure to bring to the GTG? This will be my 1st one and am not really sure what all to expect

Tie rods aren't too bad, but you really should have jack stands and a hard, flat surface to do them on. Not sure if Ted has poured some concrete out there in his cow pasture or not... I have all the tools to do them on your X if you decide Ted has a place for you to take it on.

I have a gravel pad where Chris Meeks usually parks, that a 2x12 under a jack stand will hold just about anything short of a sherman tank. If you want to do the tie rods, Woody and I have done the whole front end on our trucks over the previous summer. It wasn't too bad, just takes a little time.

I lost my spot.

I just need a spot to put ramps down. Hopefully Razzi still has his ramps.

I do, I'll make sure and bring them.

Tie Rods aren't an issue, ball joints are where it gets interesting on a 4wd truck. 2wd ball joints are so easy I can do them blindfolded

My friend bailed out on the 6.4 mods because of the sticker shock. Looks like i'm back to bringing the 7.3 with me for a little dissection.

I got the travel trailer inspected, it only took 3 tries. No I did not fail. First two could not perform for different reasons but over at the RV place I got a real inspection. Never have I had an inspector actually drive the rig for a trailer inspection. I had the Prodigy brake controller set pretty light so he went back and forth a few times making sure he could feel the trailer brakes. Probably a good thing but I check my stuff pretty good before I head out anyway.

Gotta love how this new law works out, I ended up driving all over town with tags that expired over a year ago. Now I can pick up the new tags.

Yeah I never really understood why they implemented that law, I remember being informed about the trailers needin inspection when I was taking the class to get my inspectors license and was like seriously what the hell lol,do many people have asked me why and I've been told a by a couple.of other buddies of mine they've been bitched out cause their trailer needed an inspection
