dually swap

Hi all. Few quick questions looking for some input on swapping to a f350 driveline. Truck in question is a 95 f250. It has a mildly built 351w. I rebuilt it with .030 over pistons, crane 444232 cam, rebuilt set of gt40 heads, 1.7rr, long tube headers and a custom exhaust. I also rebuilt the e4od with heavy duty parts, b and m stage 1 shift kit and a deep aluminum trans pan.

We were given a 94 f350 4x4 idi that ran but the frame was rotted and the body was falling apart. I want to swap in both axles and convert my f250 into a dually.

Question:
Should i use my springs on the front and rear? Looks like mine has 2 more springs and a 4 leaf helper rather than the stock single spring.

How do you think the 351w will do towing heavier loads? I know it's no torque monster, but it's probably close to a dying 460.

Should i do the shackle flip/reversal in the front and rear?

This is just going to be my tow vehicle, mainly cars and trucks. Very rarely will i tow heavy equipment, but i do on occasion.

F350 front springs(solid axle) are different than F250(TTB)
Also a small black sing is rated less than the Big block/diesel spring

Rear springs came as 4 leaf and 5 leaf. The F350 only got 5 leaf, F250 came both ways.

351s are pretty much the sam HP as a 460 just a little less torque, but yours is mildly built so you should do just fine

it depends how much lift you are looking for

you will be fine

Ok so my rear spring pack has 6 leafs and an after market helper spring pack. Looks like someone may have added a leaf. I did not know the springs for the front were different. Do i need to swap the hangers as well? or are they in the same location as the F350?

I really am not looking for much of a lift as i will be using this truck to tow. i thought i read somewhere that doing the shackle reversal in the front improves the ride quality. Idk it was just a thought in my head as i was getting a parts list together to do this swap.

The Reverse Shackle Kit in the front does improve the ride quality greatly in conjunction with SuperDuty springs, but It also gives you 2.25" of lift over a stock F350 height.

If retaining stock springs, there is no difference between a F250 and F350 hangers
