Auto meter vs Dashboss

Hello everyone, I'm seeing a difference in my boost gauges. The Auto meter gauge is reading between 2 and 4psi high compared to my Dash boss. I'm not sure which to trust? The auto meter still will hit around 30-32 psi at full boost in the upper gears while the dash boss is pretty much maxed at 26-28psi. I've had the turbo apart and cleaned the unison ring. The truck runs fine and doesn't set any codes. Thanks

Is the Autometer a manual gauge tee'd into the CAC?

Dashboss is reporting what the PCM is reading. Also if you're running a tune, it can be written to "fool" the PCM explaining why it is reporting low.

I would trust the manual gauge as to actual psi. As Bullitt390 said, a tune will mess with map readings and icp pressure readings also. That's why icp voltage is sometimes an essential number.

Yes it's tied into the elbow before the throttle plate looking thing. These numbers are consistent before and after my SCT tune. I guess I could pop my Auto meter mechanical gauge out and try a different one easy enough.

If it is accurate I wonder why I'm getting so much boost. It's easy to hit 30psi especially when towing. Empty it stays under 28 until I hit the upper gears.

Not that hard to get 30+ psi.

However, with stock head bolts I wouldn't push it past 26 psi, 28 max IMHO.

Is your ebp sensor plugged in? I have had to run a truck with the ebp unplugged for a while and it seemed to have boosted more than with it plugged in, may want to verify it's clean also.

Honestly I'm not even sure where it's located. Lol but I do get a reading on my Dashboss for EBP. Seems to go up and down.

Nope I take that back. I had to unplug it when doing my oil cooler. And yep it's plugged back in. I never cleaned the tube out though.
