1940 Fire Engine in Action

My fire engine is a 1940 Ford 1-1/2 ton panel delivery converted into a fire engine by the Buffalo Fire Appliance Corp for the Clifton Springs, NY Fire Department. It has a 200 GPM pump. Here it is on 9/26/2015. I pumped for 2 hours on the 70 degree day and the engine temp stayed at 160 the whole time. I loaded the pix from my album and there are also older ones there. I have a video on Photobucket, but cannot get FTE to accept the copied URL info. I'll keep trying.

Very, very cool! No pun intended. It is nice to see the old girls doing what they were meant to do. How far did you sling the water?

I was just happy to see the water come out of the nozzle. Maybe 75'. This was the first time the pump had water in it since 2008. Now I have to make sure I get all of it out so it does not freeze.

That looks like a fun time! Dang your truck is really looking beautiful. It is a remarkable example of a very rare truck. Congratulations on all the hard work that is now paying off.
