Looking at a 2011 F350 with a 6.2L Flex fuel 137K -- any thing to look for? Downsides to this engine like the timing tension devices and VCT???

 

With 6.2 gas engine I don't really recall any common problems. Someone will chime in if I'm not remembering correctly. What are you going to be using the truck for and what are your average yearly miles you put on?

 

got one at work that we beat on fairly hard, its one of the prime work trucks and our plow truck.

So far all it has needed is a tranny flush and it just about at 100k.

my 2012 F 250.. 6.2L 138,000 miles.. going strong.

just replaced the serpentine belt and all 3 idlers.... all was original..

 

my neighbor's work truck is a '11 with around 140k on it and the only trouble he's had was a plugged fuel fill vent. His employer also has another '11 with 175k on it without any issues. These two trucks see a lot of hard use.
