Tuner preferences.. Aaaaand go!
Hey everyone.. I am one week away from finally getting back into the same zip code as my truck. This means I'm almost ready to get my chip ordered because I won't know my pcm number until I'm with it.
Now, I've been thinking about my options on chips and have come to a crossroads... Do I get custom tunes on a ts6 or go with the hydra.
I know I have to send in a ts chip to get reburned and hydra can be updated from an email file blah blah blah.
Is the hydra really with the extra money?
Also, I'm looking for opinions on good tuner options. I realize that this is highly arbitrary, but I'm throwing it out there to see opinions. I'm looking for a really good economy tune option as well as good power. I've looked at Tony Wildman but haven't ordered/bought anything yet.
So... Convince me. Ts or Hydra?
Thanks guys!

i guess. i still am running the same tunes i bought 8 years ago, i am happy enough with them to not want to try anything else.
99.999% of the time my truck is in 80 econo tune. the only time it gets put in anything else is when one of the kids needs the truck, and then it gets put back to stock tune.

Sounds like u just made your own case. The Hydras cheaper, can incorporate dps customer service, and can do anyones' tunes... Lol do u need to talk yourself into the Hydra anymore?

Its a great approach with the amount of money you can drop on these things. Hopefully the hydra will get ya where u wanna go, Im interested to see what tunes u go with and how your egts react to them. Ive been contemplating trying beans, php, or dp.
