You check the round metal fuse...thats your E flashers or use a meter to check for power going to that fuse socket.

The turn signal flasher is the round piece in the corner of the dash fuse panel. The hazard flasher is on the back of the fuse panel directly behind the t-s flasher.

How to fix the flasher in the fuse panel? Remove flasher and replace with known good flasher. Retest flasher operation.

I just read up on this, I guess I'm quite a few years behind...LOL The E-flasher is on the backside of the fuse block and they said it can either be directly behind the TS flasher or on the other side of the block, so I'm guessing you have to unbolt the fuse block and flip it over to replace the fuse.

You don't need to unbolt anything. Just stick your head up under the dash near the brake pedal and look at the backside of the fuse panel. You'll see the flasher there. Just yank it out and install a new one. I replaced mine about a year ago and I didn't unbolt anything.

They are the same flasher unit. Swap them if you want to test.

Yes, it'll fix the flashing on the dash too. They cost about $12.

Replacing a flasher is no more complicated than replacing a fuse although you seem to be making this a very difficult process.

I have occasionally had problems with the flashers (4 ways) on my '96 especially after sitting for a few months. I just turn them on and off rapidly quite a few times. Apparently the contacts on the switch get dirty or slightly corroded. Cycling the switch rapidly cleans them up and then they work like they should. Ive also had the same problem with the turn signals and windshield washers........same solution for those as well.
