Pre-Winter Maintenance 2015

It's that time of year again when you should get those repairs you've put on the back burner done before the dead of winter sets in and you're making the repairs you should've done while the weather was good in the bitter and unforgiving cold.

On the list for my 6.0:

-Diamond eye 3.5 inch downpipe kit (4 inch is tight and rubbing against the trans dipstick and shackle)
-Shocks
-Might look into a dual stab kit
-Front sway bar end link (broke it while off-roading, truck has a cholo lean when cornering now)
-Both front calipers are rusted for some strange reason
-Replace warped driver side rotor.

What's on your list?

I'm pretty sure I'll need an oil change before my road trip at the end of December. That's it

Truthfully, I won't need it but I'll have it done anyway

It's a bulletproofed 6.0, what the hell can it possibly need

Pray that this truck makes it through an Iowa winter with no major issues after having only owned it for two months. That is on my to do list, along with visiting this forum often to stay up to date on what I can always be looking for!

Winter projects are (stays semi warm in the South):

08+ towing mirrors
Air-Lift automatic leveling system
maybe a BPD water pump for the heck of it

Honestly my non-studded 6.0L doesn't seem to need anything but normal TLC

As of today, nothing but plugging it in. I'm gonna be pulling a 10K fiver and a trailer full of ATV's behind that up over the divide through Eisenhower Tunnel in a couple of weeks to go Elk hunting. It's as bulletproofed as I can get her, what could possibly go wrong I'll let you know when I get back

The Mishimoto has done fine for me in the hot weather even when towing the travel trailer.

I'm from Idaho, it wasn't whether you got one or not, just how big.... really sad now, most guys don't get one and the wolves have eaten most of them!

Good luck with an elk... pictures of mule deer maybe?
