Switch to synthetic oil, replace 110 amp alt with 140 amp unit, replace sending unit on fuel pressure gauge.

-Both front calipers are rusted for some strange reason
-Replace warped driver side rotor.
-Got the 3.5 inch downpipe in and it made a world of different with the turbo spooling and overall performance. There is now little to no lag now and the truck much more easily gets out of it's own way.

-Replaced the warped driver side rotor with a new one and no more shaking when stopping.

-Calipers are still rusted, they'll be painted when I get more time.

Not doing this myself but thought others may want to keep it in mind.
Lube the locks and spray some silicone in the door rubber so they don't
freeze shut on you at the first rain then cold snap. That is the way it seems
to go around here.

you beat me to it Sean - never forget the door rubbers. worst on the black vehicles - sun melts the ice during the day and it freezes hard at night.

Also, alcohol in the screenwash, and don't wash the car inthe evening. if you've ever had ice on the discs as you come up to a major junction you might remember this one

Silicone in the door rubber? Are you guys talking about wiping the rubber seals down with a silicone spray to keep them from icing?

Glow plugs and harness. Passenger side harness is like a year old so hopefully it doesn't break.

Not really looking forward to doing them

Winter 2015

You guys scare me with all these long lists....

Will change my oil end of this month.

Changed Glow Plugs last week, figuring about 200,000 miles on them, and so time for new ones.

New Fuel Filter, Air Filter...

Pulled apart the Warn hubs, cleaned them and made sure they are working.

Doesn't get that cold normally here in north Georgia, so I don't worry to much about real cold freezing cold starts...

I noticed my starter having a harder and harder time cranking the truck. So today I pulled mine, took a wire brush, and some electrical contact cleaner to it.

It was much easier than I thought for such a huge payoff. The truck cranks with some serious authority now! Less than $20 and my starter is good to go again!

I also changed the oil and added some AR9100.

Very likely you will be just fine. The Guys & Gals that live in places that rain then surprise it freezes
have more problems then the ones that life in places where they get snow and it stays cold.

Then there is ice on the road, That is never good.

Just make sure all the things like windshield wipers are good, The washer fluid is full.

Really just a lot of basic stuff plus any known issues for your location. And plan ahead
if you going to a place where things are different than your used to. The biggest thing
is if your used to warm driving and are going to a snow zone. Take stuck in the snow
emergency items. Food,water and blankets.

Just have to do shocks and hopefully dual stabs. One is nice, but two are awesome!

How's everybody else doing?

You want the stuff that is dry quickly, I found that it is really
good for sticking power rear window. Spray on and work in it
then your good for the season.
