On the road again.

In the words of 'the 60's rock and roll band Canned Heat Im"On The Road again". After my complete rebuild and conversion of a $100 Craig's List 9"and my admittedly stupid mistake of installing the backing plates on the wrong sides and upside down, I finally got it on the road again, It wasn't bad to fix the mistake, all I had to do was pull the axles swap backing plates, replace the seals, re-plumb, bleed, and adjust the brakes, reconnect the parking brake cables, and Wa La.. I just got back from a test drive being very conservative keeping in mind the need to break it in properly, and it drives smooth and quiet, and stops too LOL. As always I cant thank the members of FTE enough for there help. As I take on each stage of bringing my truck back to life, I depend on my FTE friends to guide me thru it as I have never done this stuff B4, and at every step the great folks here always give me there years of experience with a smile and a words of encouragement. Without you guys I would be lost. THANK YOU!

Head up north and John & I'll give you the backwood northern hospitality like no one has ever experienced. John's retired, & I'd take time off for that. Great job my friend.

Thanks guys for the kind words, Gee now that J brought up ******* song I cant get it out of my head, but I think the Canned Heat song was different lyrics. Anyway Tony the rears are 295/50R15, I should get better traction with both of them grabbing the pavement now. But Ill have to wait for an all out assault, they recommend 500 miles of break in then fresh oil/additive B4 I can try it.

Dang it Jim! Now it's stuck in my head too. I had to watch the video. At least it's a good song. Glad to hear you're cruisin' once again . Great job by the way. Had some fat meats like those on my Nova back in the day. Looking good.

Way to go Jim. Looks good. I saw Canned Heat and Reo speed wagon Memorial Day 1970 at the Kickapoo creek rock concert in Hayworth Il. It was suppose to be a bigger concert than Woodstock. It was definitely a good time. Have fun

Great job Jimmy, glad you are motoring down road. Look three times before the all out test, you don't want any flashing light surprises.
