Update: Trans finally gave up the ghost at 363,xxx miles. Never touched by me other than tail piece replacement.

Was driving at 55 and got to outskirts of town and stepped on the gas and Wham! along with shudder. Pulled over and towed van to tranny rebuild shop.

Twisting the knife much?

It sucks having to rebuild anything but after 300K miles your transmissions cost should be around $0.01/mile.
At 175k on a 2000 e150 I am at the opposite end of the usage spectrum.

Van recently died as it was approaching 375k...

Engine tied up while under hard acceleration!

It is soon going to the bone yard.....
