Hi, I just bought a 2005 Ford xlt 4x4 Ranger. The sound system looks completely stock but sounds amazing to me. I have had quite a few fancy systems installed before to replace stock systems in vehicles I have owned. I can't believe how good this stock looking system sounds. Turn it up as loud as it goes ( and that is very loud ) and there is no distortion, very clear notes, great bass! it just knocks me out. I do not have to replace this system.

My question is, does Ford have a stock system that is a upgrade for it's Ranger XLT trucks? or is it just a really good sounding system they put in this model? it is a very powerful clean sounding unit. Seams to have a lot of wattage. Anybody have a idea? Thanks, Ben.

 

My ranger (2011) sounds better than my wife's lexus. Go figure!

Ford has offered PREMIUM systems for quite some time and they do as they say

 

Since I bought it used I don't know if it is a premium system. But it sounds great whatever it is. Thanks.
