72 F250 External lock ring

Mine are definitely the widow makers. I also have two 16" lock ring type rims from a 1972 F250.

I don't know how to take the widow makers apart and I can't bring tires to dump or metal yard. There is a tire specific dump.

The difficult part is breaking the tire away from the rim, I soak the area between the rim and tire for a couple of days with a solution of Dawn dish soap and water and then pry the tire down........once you get the tire away from the rim the rim will fall apart

I don't recall whether your F-350 is SRW or DRW. Either way it has the 6 lug x 7.25"'pattern. If your truck is SRW and has the 17" widow makers used from 1955 to 1966, the very same rim replacement solution described above for the F-3s will also work on the SRW F-350s. The reason for this is the "semi-drop center" design of the widow maker that has the same center disc diameter as required by the new tubeless 17" "drop center" rims. Stu
