2008 Ford E150 not going in reverse

Dont know what happen but drove around town and did a 3 point turn then heard a loud BAM. Thinking i hit something, but turns out it was nothing. Then i drove it some more and parked my vehicle. Then when i tired to reverse out nothing happened. Seems like the vehicle was in neutral. But when i put in drive, nothing happened. Could somebody did me an idea of whats going on with my van? Thanks

I would guess a blown transmission unless your driveshaft is laying on the ground with one of the u-joints blown out of it...

Good luck and welcome,

Should be a 4R75W in your year range. Wiki is a good place to go for stuff like this...at the bottom of this page is says 06-08 E150's used the 4R75W.

Sometimes a full rebuild is better than outright replacement. At 168,XXX I had my 4R70W rebuilt by a local shop. Work was very good. And reasonable.

$1500 for the rebuild
$375 to flash, update and tune the trans
$250 for a new converter
$150 for supplies and fluids
$100 for a flush of the lines and coolers

TDE of Illinois.
