All F350's with DRW's were only sold as a Cab & Chassis thru 1979. 1980 was the first year for F350 Styleside pickups with DRW

F100/150/250's weren't available with DRW

Beautiful truck, skeeter! I definitely prefer your dually rear fenders, they look great.

Skeeter that is a beautiful truck. I'm also interested in this thread for I'm also building a dually conversation. I don't think there are too many done though. I built this truck years ago. It's a 79 camper special with 450 suspension on the original chassis.

Truck is now on a 150 frame and it's my winter beater.

Just started tearing the wood off my f450 deck, next job is the metal, from that point on it's parts change over. Our dent makes it hard to make a decent fender for these trucks but I got a lot of donor metal so this winter I'm giving it a try. Diesel brad, not impressed with that style of fender as it's to modern looking and doesn't look much like a step side. The guy did a good job of it though.
Skeeter you got a good looking truck, just wish the fenders weren't so generic. Which brings us back to the curse of that dent.

thanks ya'll
privateer, eh and F350 loui I'll bet you guys can fabricate some awesome fenders with your experience. My fenders are just bolted on not permanent so I cant wait to see what you come up with. Maybe ya'll can make several pair. The fenders on my truck are made by Arrowcraft specifically for the dent dually conversions and are no longer produced.

Arrowcraft made a good looking fender, design and styling wise, but so far nothing has been made that looks like it was made specifically for the dent side. I keep seeing the same generic universal gm look. But I have the truck that never stops paying, it's been going ca-ching since before I actually bought it. The last ca-ching got it taken off the road and now the back half is a fugly trailer. The hood, fenders and door skins are going to be used for step side fenders.

How thick is the fiber glass on those fenders, the factory ones I've seen sure look thin and flap in the wind. And these new ones are way to bulbous, no wonder so many of them have been hit.

Bulbous went through the spell checker first try.

I'm just going with the fender flare like on my camper special. I'm using the c/s box which has the longer wheelbase and bigger wheel opening. There is no way I'm giving up the chrome for a rear fender . The chrome is more important to me. It's going to be very hard to make fenders look right on these trucks. Ford didn't do it they made the s/c/s to compete with GM's dually.

So i am the only one on this forum that is active with a working regular bed dually with real fender flares that can haul a ton of weight down the highway legally. One tone frame, ambulance rear end, 14 leaf springs on each side hidden goose neck hitch, drop down bumper, bored .30 over 460, C6. I have hauled more than 3000 lbs with no problem at all (tiled my house).
I think if Ford made a dually in 1978 with a bed and flares it probably wouldn't look much different than mine, or is love blind.

Hey jack A, for one those are not fender flares.
The fenders on my truck were MADE for the DENTS.
Is the guy who you posted a link too, an active forum member or did you just find his pictures? Does this guy have a finished product?
And why do you care, you don't even own a dent?

WOAH!!!> Enough with the name calling.

I dont care if those flares were made for your truck or a pinto, they dont follow the body lines what so ever.

As for the truck in the link, I have no clue if it is finished or not. But what doe it matter? It still looks 10x better than yours with those square flares.

And as for me owing a dent, I have owned several
