Testing fuel pressure

Ok guys so it looking like I may be replacing my fuel pump. I do want to test it for pressure before I order parts and start tearing it apart, main concern is there's no access ports on my bowl like I have seen in other pictures. I've seen several post about the two access ports that you can screw an adaptor into and a shrader valve on and test it. But they are non existent. Is there anything I can do? Also if I do end up having to replace the pump are their orings I should.replace at the same time? Are they included with the pump or ordered separately?

Those ports are on the e99 to 01 7.3

On the 94.5-97 7.3 you test at the schreader valve. Looks like a valve steam on your wheels. You can use a stick style tire pressure gauge

Crank no start, oil pressure is fine, no lights on the dash, truck just died after entering the freeway. I've done a few other things to check it, blew out the lines, dropped both tanks, checked the crank sensor and I tried unplugging the icp.

I replaced it with a known working one from another truck with no changes. It's not a CPS

I've got money on the fuel heater! Check the fuses under the hood; I can't remember which one off the top of my head but it's a big 30 amp maxi fuse. The fuel heater shorts to the filter housing and blows that fuse.

Open the fuel filter , open the fuel drain. Empty the fuel res . Close the drain & crank the motor over . If the bowl fills the pump is ok.BTW FP if they do fail they do so over a period of time rather than suddenly. Mine leaked for quite a while but still worked .

I have a wait to start light and smoke comes out, I'm charging the battery's now, I can't really make out what that chart says about the GPR.

Yep. #22 was the one that blew, leaving me stranded a few blocks from home. Did you check those fuses?

Fuses are fine, GPR tested fine on both sides, and the pins. I'm kinda stumped, I put on a new CPS just to check it and still the same. It cranks, huffs and puffs but won't start. It sounds like it is on the verge of starting but never does.
