If THAT can be on the road, I should be able to cruise State Route 1 no problem. lol

I just swapped the hard backs out for some Corbeau Baja SS's, oh so much better.

That's pretty cool Rich, I'd drive it..

Not to change the subject and no I haven't posted an ad yet. But I've got 2 solid running 400s. I'm changing my Scab out to a 460 & the other is a cab donor for my 78sb.
I'd rather sell em than scrap em cause they're good. But what're they worth.?

Complete long blocks with all the accessories, probably 4 to 5 hundred, maybe more? I am straight up guessing, but I know at least NOT 2 or 3 hundred, which is what some folks might offer you.

Yes pull the plugs, put some oil in each cylinder and turn it over by hand (by the crank bolt), then put the plugs back in. Seal/tape up the intake manifold, exhaust manifolds and water neck openings.

If you weren't in Iowa I would be interested in buying 1 or possibly both of the 400's. After "Cash for Clunkers" finding old parts got really hard around here. There are a couple of old school junk yards in the woods north of here but I havent been to them in a few years.

Exactly, parts for these aren't as scarce as Hudson Hornet part's, but they aren't disposable anymore either.

At the swap meet....

So I was walking along at a swap meet this weekend and seen this.

Centerline style 8 on 6 1/2, 11x16.5's
Slotted mags 8 on 6 1/2 (9x15 rear and 7x15 fronts), yes 8 lug 15's!
Slotted mags that were 9.25x16.5
Hurricane fins that were 9.25x16.5

West Coast Jr mirrors, SC dent trim, 78/79 Bronco half cab w/slider, and a bunch of other items.

Oh yea, that was my stuff. I had a blast at the swap meet and sold a bunch of items.

Thanks for the advice, I'll stick to FTE to move parts. Trading Feedback - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

I ship part coast to coast, N,S,E and West. Even Canada, Norway and Sweden. I usually do not have the time to Craigslist items.

This was my 1st swap meet with a couple of FTE friends and I had blast. And I met a bunch of new "Ford Truck Enthusiasts", that never knew about FTE, you can bet they do now.

Forder yes, cats...lol one.

Yeah I'd love to come out and visit too see all the things I could buy from you but I don't think my wife or the bank account would be too happy. MO isn't too far from Indiana tho lol

Its called a hobby for reason. Tell the wife a hobby is better than a girl friend, right? lol Spread out purchases over time, that way the bank does not alert the wife.

The post man drives from Mo to Indy everyday. We can use his gas...

If you ever vacation to Branson Mo (suggest to the wife you want to take her there for your anniversary) and stay at Bass Pro's Shops "Big Cedar Lodge" in Ridgedale. I am a little north of Springfield (which is the Bass Pro Head Quarters giant store and museum) and yet another excuse to get closer. See where I am going with this?

Morning Unk Bob, hows the newer rig treating you?
