That actually looks pretty good. You'll always have friction material on the magnet.

Our shop has owned 6 of them. 1 is still running the other 5 have gone through a total of 8 sets of injectors, 3 motors, and 6 turbos. All before they got to 70k. Everything was under warranty when they broke so we didn't pay anything for the repairs, except down time. The moment they got to 70k we sold them for SD 7.3s until the 6.7 came out. Improper amount of head studs, constant injector failures, not enough research in egr and emissions bolt ons brought on by the sudden requirement of emissions controls, horrible fuel filter placement causing ice to be thrown on it from the front tires and jelling early. We "bulletproofed" 2 of the 5 trucks at our shop that broke. Both of them still failed. You either have a good 6.0 or you don't, bulletproofing doesn't matter. The 1 that still runs has 120k miles on it, hasn't been bulletproofed, has been rode HARD and its still going great, with stock injectors, turbo, and egr. I know all I need to know about the 6.0, they cost us almost 250k in lost revenue from downtime, and Ford should publicly apologize for them. The 6.0 was never designed as an automotive engine. They are the reason so many people left ford and bought the common rails. (They ride good, they have plenty of power, and torqshift is a great tranny though..... When they run that is)
