So far, I haven't had any problems of any kind. I hope this continues. I don't know about the transfer case but my clutch feels / sounds funny once in a while. I only know one other person with a manual, his clutch is out all the time, as well as his transmission. That is an 88 F150, with the Mazda made transmission / clutch though, plus the truck does have over 400,000 miles on it.

I always heard that the ZF's were supposed to be pretty good, this is my first ZF manual, (That I know of.) The past 14 years or so, I have had automatics in everything. The last manual I had was a Ford T-5, that was in a Mustang GT, never had any problem at all out of that, no matter how I thrashed it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the ZF6 holds up as well.

Noisy is a fact. This thing is so loud, it sounds like I am driving a UPS truck. Until you hit highway speeds, or a constant speed, you might as well not have the radio on. When your going through the gears, all you can hear is the ZF6 whine and the V10 suck gas. It reminds you every second that your in a truck.
