keep '07 V10 or get new 6.2
I currently have a 2007 F350 crew with V10 (my 2nd one) . It only has 38,000 miles on it. It is starting to need a few things. The rear dust shield are rusted out causing the parking brake to rub. The rear drivers side caliper is rubbing . There is a small area on the bed where the paint is failing. My biggest concern is the rust on the undercarriage. Its not so bad that I'm concerned about the frame. I am wondering about brackets, brake lines, body mounts, bed cross rails.
The other day I was ready get a new truck. Today I'm ready to dive in and start working on the truck. I don't have a garage but I do have limited access to my friend sign shop.
I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has dove in and if you had any regrets.
TIA

I bought an F250 with a 6.2L about 3 months ago. I love the truck and think it was a great choice for me. I was a little surprised that the truck likes to run at higher RPMs than I'm used too. I did a little research and it seems that was how the 6.2 was designed. I just roled 9000 miles and still like my decision. I would buy another.

I recently let my 02 V10 with near 200K on it go; mechanically it was fine, cosmetically it was blemished. Why? Because I was tired of the manual windows, door locks and mirrors, the med size cab (for my dogs) and the short bed (towing 5th wheel).
I went from no payments to $600 month for 5 (or 6?) years. Now that the shock is over I'm happy with my decision.
If those listed items are your only concerns I'd suggest fixing them; if, like me, there are other concerns then get to your local dealer and help the economy grow. The next owner of yours will be a happy fellow.

Thanks for the replies so far. I was just outside so I snapped a couple of quick pics.
why don't they cap these bed rails and have a couple of drain holes?
rear bed rail different angle
rear bed rail...worst one
under cab
under drivers seat
passenger side rocker panel?
Barnacle Bob's driveshaft

I live on a private road (1/2 dirt 1/2 paved) . I also don't have a garage and my truck is parked on dirt/gravel alot. I think that combined with the new brine spray they like to use on the roads the few years has taken its toll. My wife just got a new Explorer last year. This Fall I plan to spray it with Fluid Film
