Yep, the lack of a COLOR code and the fact that there are 6 digits in the DSO (indicating it was a special order truck - not an off the lot purchase) would indicate it had at least a special order color. A DSO code comprised of only two digits would indicate a non-special ordered truck.

Thanks Bill!
It was interesting to me that in the last 50 years the truck hasn't gone very far, from twin Cities MN, to Sioux City, IA, and now to northeast NE.
And I found it interesting that the 352 c.i. motor only made 172 hp.

I did know a little by looking at the VIN, such as that it came from Minnesota, but I was hoping to get the full treatment from NumberDummy!
Thanks Bill!

So in 1966, under what conditions were those two HP numbers determined?
I'm guessing that GROSS HP was measured at the flywheel (no transmission or anything else behind it) AND without any V-belted accessories up front...?
Whereas NET HP would have been measured..... where? ...at the driveshaft behind the transmission and WITH the standard V-belted accessories (what else besides the alternator)?
