much to much heat to get rid of I wouldn't try it if you did find one unless you use the truck for going to the grocery store.

Welcome

Flexilite fans offer a universal fitting electric fan that will fit a superduty. Model # 290, thier website is www.flexilite.com click on automotive link . If you get one post how the install went, and if you saw a performance difference.
.
Goodluck.

Flexalite doesn't recomend a fan for the superduty's....esp for towing. You can add one but thats all.

Did you ever look at the size of the radiator on these trucks?
I had my bumper off yesterday and lookin at it its huge. To use an electric fan you must cover 70% of the surface. Well I don't think so... Good luck

I shop around when I go to by things for my truck. There is an dual 15" electric fan combo by Flex-a-Lite that is lets you adjust the temperature from 160 to 240 degrees.

I know of two individuals that have installed this set up on their trucks, one a diesel and the other a V10. Both love it.

You can also write to Flex-a-Lite and have a custom applicaiton made up. www.flex-a-lite.com

Electric fan cooling

I need some auxiliary cooling on my 1971 F250 (360 cid). The cooling system can't keep up when the AC is turned on and I'm driving in stop and go traffic. Especially when driving in deep south texas.

I would like to keep my stock fan. So I looked into pusher fans but I don't have any room in the grille area.

However, I have enough room for a flex-a-lite trimline 116 fan (as a puller fan) inside the stock shroud between the radiator and the stock fan.

Flex-a-lite says that this would work well. However, I would like some commentary from the folks out there.

Regards,

David

I just rebuilt the truck. It has a new radiator with 3 rows of tubes. All of the hoses are new, ...

I could get a 4 row radiator but that is not a cheap - I have been quoted prices in the range of 250 to 300 bucks.

As long as your shroud is in order and everything is original.... Fan spacing to shoud is critical. also you fan clutch if you have one
