Oh great.... Now EVERYONE is gonna want to move to Washington. Nice little shack you're working on..... And about the 441 BSA, I had already moved it to be my desk top background.

BSA

Loved the photo of the bike, I will have to look for the one of my pops on an old BullTaco back in the day.

Thanks Buddy. I don't even know what 'subscribing' means... I see it here often, but I will consider it something positive. Anyone want to describe what it means?

I never did figure it out. I think it's basically a way of keeping interesting threads in a separate section, for easy retrieval and reading later on, because stuff will scroll fast in some forums. There is the option of getting an email notification every time someone replies. That's a big, big mistake on some discussion threads.

I was stationed at Ft. Lewis, and thought Washington was an interesting place. Rainforest on the west side, and real honest to goodness desert in the east. Sales tax rate is a little salty I thought. Mild winters. Always wanted to explore around Twisp and Concunully (sp) more. I used to like to camp and fish and hike a lot.

Subscribing is just a way to make threads one is interested in show up in their user control panel (or get a e-mail notification) when there is a new post &/or go into a folder where they can be referenced.

Typing "I'm subscribing" is just posting for that to happen if one has nothing to add to a thread's subject.

For this thread, back on page one, I clicked on "thread tools" & added it to a "subscribed" folder that I created titled "Pre-48 Threads".

You can also stop getting (seeing it show up in) CP notifications by clicking "unsubscribe".

Enjoying this thread & can't wait to see the woody drive. Thanks for the work/craftsmanship.

What David said. I have bookmarked my user control panel. I click on it, it shows what threads I've contributed or subscribed to, and I can track what's current without scrolling through several pages. Since I haven't been on FTE much in recent months, it's a quick way to still see what's going on, that's of interest to me. For instance, my Oddballs thread on the '48-56 forum. It can remain dormant for a few days, and get buried to page 6 or 7, or so. But on my user control panel, it's right there.

It's when you get something prescribed for you that you may be in danger.
Subscribed a long time ago, have a prescription for 14 years and counting

It's a joke, Son, wasn't pointed at you! I apologize though, if it hits close to home. Maybe you can ask for some time off, or a "safe space"?

Sorry Gary for the following, I don't mean to screw up your thread with B.S

Your sense of humor leaves a bit to be desired, double check to make sure your punch lines are funny and are delivered properly

I'm not your son, theres 15 years of outstanding alimony at $99 a month dad. lol

Maybe you should be less belligerent in your over all posting.
