Just to collect great vans please post:

Picture of the van: will add my pic later (i ogt them in the profile), if you have some great mods or engine modes, post them too
Model: E-150
Year: 1989
Engine: 5.0 V8 EFI
Other detail by your choice.

Thanks. I hope we will see great vans here.

Here is mine. It's an '88 E250, IDI Diesel, C6 w/DNE2 OD. Has some gauges installed, some sound deading and other upgrades. Since the pic I have plasti-dipped the grill black along with a couple of other things.

I also built this since it had ZERO cup holder. Kinda funny cause my wife's Sienna is an 8 passenger and has 15 cup holders....everyone can double fist it except the driver since he needs at least one hand on the wheel....

Here's what it tows to the track. Pulls great and provides me with a semi-real bed to sleep in while camping out.

A track action shot just because

Looks like very other white stalker van to me.
97, 5.4, E250, slider, windows in back doors, 215k or so. Great van.
Adopted it from my dad when he replaced it with an F250 Powerstroke.

Here's the two I've got.

The first one is daily driver/work van.

It's a rusty 96 E250 5.8L/E4OD with around 250,000 miles on it. I just using it while I'm doing the full build on my 89 E350.

Here's my big project. It's a 1989 E350 extended Clubwagon with a 5.8L/C6.

My plans are to swap out the good running 5.8L for a rebuilt 300 inline 6 with a ported 240 head with larger valves, an aftermarket cam, a custom built 2-2V carb intake manifold ( built by me ) with 2 Autolite 2100 1.02 2V carbs, dual efi exhaust manifolds and the EFI serpentine accessory drive system off an efi 300.

I'm also swapping in a NP435 manual 4spd transmission with an 11" clutch and a NP205 transfercase for the extra low range.

I'm also completely rebuilding all the suspension, steering & brakes. I'm also converting the rear to 99 E350 disc brakes and the rear springs to the 10 leaf cargo van springs. All new BFG AT's.

I'm also doing all the rust repair to the body. Some minor body mods to the front fenders, hood and the front bumper. I'm dumping the step bumper in the back for a standard rear bumper.

And in the interior I yanked all the rear bench seats out. I'm going to be adding a full set of Autometer Sport Comp gauges. I'm also modifying the dog house into a 2 piece one for easier access to the transmission. I'm adding a bulkhead/divider behind the front seats and am going to be adding some wall plates to protect the rear side windows from some of the loads I haul.

Here's what I'm starting with.

Mine's a 99 E350 with a 5.4L that I bought Jan. 1, 2015. It was a little rough as it was a used as a wheel chair shuttle and then for a rock band to get to gigs. It only had 99k miles and was only $1,500. I cleaned it up, made some shelves and applied vinly wrap to some of the windows to make it look more like a cargo van.

As Purchased.

After a little work

I don't have mine any longer but the guy that bought it is selling it with photos here.
https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/cto/5237639016.html

I restored the thing but didn't have a use for it, it has 3K+ worth of parts. The guy selling it is unloading all his rolling stock to buy a 3/4 ton 350 to haul his 30 foot RV trailer. His photos are better than mine.

What kind of mileage do you get with the 460? I have been looking for a doghouse cover like you have, but yet to find one. Is there a noticeable noise difference with it installed?

This is my 1986 E-350 Club Wagon. In the middle of putting the rebuilt motor into it and getting it back on the road. I'm hoping to turn this into a [stealth] camper van along with many other upgrades. I'm also looking to get rid of all of the interior pieces from the blue 15 passenger setup as well as all the windows.

I didn't realize there's more then one doghouse for this gen, interesting. I'm getting 10mpgs with the 460 od and 4.10s. I'd like to run 3.55s instead and maybe if I can find a clutch pedal run a zf5

I don't think there are............... doghouse from my 79 E250- 460 clubwagon chateau is identical to my 88 E350 7.3 diesel ambulance, small block might be different but will have to check that one.

you are doing well to get 10mpg, but 3.55s would help out some , the lock up in the E4OD should make it almost as efficient as a ZF 5spd, you'll just have more gears to play with.

cheers James

Part of the reason for the ZF is I have a 4x4 model and a d60hp in my garage. It'd make a sweet setup, though I'm concerned about driver accessibility with a stick between the seats.
