Finished My Dash Re-Paint
As some of you may remember, I masked around the radio on my dash to avoid damage and the masking tape peeled off the paint.
Using SEM Color Coat in satin black, I refinished the dash. It was a lot of work, especially taking apart the ESOF switch panel...but well worth it in the end. The dash had gotten almost chalky looking.
There's no doubt that at least 2005 dashes are molded in black...and painted black. I bought this truck new and know that despite having it out to install things...it wasn't painted since leaving plant. Until now.
I'm well pleased with the end result. Looks fresh and factory...

The switches were bought at a local auto parts store when the truck was new. I did the labels with a Brother P Touch and trimmed very close to the lettering.
Also, there was some ribbing behind when those switches that had to be removed before drilling for the switches. It's no big deal....just a heads up.
The switches are like these. When I first put mine in, I though the LEDS were a bit too bright at night so I changed the resistors in the switches to dim them a bit.
