Question Switch on fuse panel cover 1991 F150

I just bought an old 1991 Ford f150 extended cab pickup and am trying to get everything working right again and figure out everything. The previous owner took parts off for various reasons, and if he could drive it without them he just threw them in the back. One thing I found back there was the large fuse panel cover that goes under the steering column. This cover has a small rocker switch mounted through it with two bayonet connectors on the back. The switch has a dot on one side and nothing on the other. There are two wires with bayonet connectors hanging under the dash that look like they go to it. Anyone know what this switch is for? It looks factory, or else someone did a very nice job of cutting a hole in the plastic cover and mounting it! Thanks

First off, I have a limited knowledge about these trucks, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I do not know of any rocker switch in that area that came stock with these trucks.

Does the truck have any aftermarket parts that might be controlled through that switch? Maybe there were some fog lights that the PO had on there and took off for some reason?

It is probably to some personal aftermarket ad on, fans, lights etc. It could also be circumventing a messed up or failed stock component. For the record a dealer add on of fog lights was available as an "oem" option, but they were just an expensive after market fog light kit which used an under dash rocker switch. Follow the wires and you will find out what they are or were for.

No switches were installed on the fuse panel cover from the factory. Could be something a dealer or previous owner installed. I would find where them wires go ASAP... it's been my experience that a lot of people DON'T believe in circuit protection (fuses/breakers) for things they add on.
