Good morning Mainahs and guests.
I'm so, so SOOOOOO ready for the flatlanders to go home.....last 2 days have been painful. I was ready to go back home and put my plow on this morning and just push them all off the road this morning. SOOOO many, and most of them doing 5-10 UNDER the speed limit.
Yeah...Sorry Mass.... I hate your drivers.
Smeh.
Anywho, working this weekend, hopefully the rest of you are enjoying your long weekend! Have a good one all!

Morning Tom, are they all gone yet? We'll be heading up to Trenton this Saturday for the week. Anything going on chapter wise?

Base coop/box is 4x6', 4x4" PT corner posts are 5' and 7', with a 45* sloped roof, and sey up on concrete pads.
Roof is 7x8' (2 4x8" plywood boards side by side with tar paper under the steel roofing.
The nesting box is built on the back side under the roof, added on to the 4x6' coop, 4 nesting boxes, it opens from the top so you undo the latches and the roof lifts up about a foot (before contacting the main roof) just enough to get the eggs. (Not enough so it could be left open, either.)
I used a 3" hole saw and a dozen "louvers" style vents across the tall front and the sides. (For ventilation year round otherwise moisture and amonia builds up.) Also added a eye hook centered in the roof to hang the heat lamp for winter.
The guillotine door was just a piece of plywood about 2" wider/taller than the doorway I cut for the chickens, and then boxed in so it can lift/lower into place. (Bought a pulley and rope so it can be raised/lowered without having to go into the yard.)
The ramp lifts up (if needed) and is just (2) 2x4"s bolted to a short 2x4" on the front of the coop, then a series of 1/2"x1" rungs for them to walk up/down.
I know this probably isn't too helpful.... but I don't have the plans anymore. :-/

I'll do the best I can from memory.
