Coolant flush. Not engine related but you could check over ball joints and tie rods at that mileage. Serpentine belt tensioner they tend to get seized up.

Thanks for the advice. Ya I rebuilt the entire front end a year ago so that's all good. I'll check on the belt tensioner. .

Make sure the coolant line under the intake manifold is still in good shape

Ya I was looking at that in pictures. Anyone know what that's called? Or a part number? I am thinking of just replacing it either way

I would replace all vacume lines and pcv valve, those things are cheap and are common things people dont ever check or change out. If you have some extra cash get an aftermaket throttle body with a new air intake system if you dont already have one. You could also get a programmer. If i think of other ways to spend your money ill let you know.

Why are you replacing the COP's and injectors? Typically injectors can be cleaned and COP's only need replacement if they fail.

You found injectors for 7-8$ a piece? Does that concern you at all?

You're putting a bunch of money into this motor, I said it in your other thread at 160k has a compression test been done anywhere along the way?

Cool. I'll stop bugging your threads, I always just remember a '92 5.8 I had, previous to any of the trucks in my sig and I replaced parts after parts to get that motor running right, which it never did because it had low compression. Whole different animal I know but I blew a ton of money on that thing. So now I'm the compression ****, a spark plug can barely be pulled with me around without me trying to hook up a tester. I drive my buds crazy too!

I do wish you the best of luck with your truck.

I would replace the exhaust manifold studs with new ones. Go with the Stainless Steel ones as well as new hardware
