fuel tank moved to rear have fuel pump question
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else that has moved the gas tank to under the bed location has had any issues with fuel delivery to the carb?
I put a bronco II tank under the bed with the bronco II pick up and sending unit/float and now having issues with fuel delivery to carb. I put a piece of clear tubing going between pump and line to tank so I could see if I was getting any fuel and when at idle I get nothing but if I rev up the motor I start getting fuel. the fuel pump is new.
when I put my brake vacuum tool on the line near fuel pump and it draws fuel at about 6# vac .could it be that the original pump doesn't have enough suction at idle to draw from that far?
I also put a gas can up front on the ground with the clear tubing in it and the pump draws gas from the can fine.
do I need to put an electric pump on?
any ideas will be appreciated.
thanks joe
