Replacement Fenders

One of my fenders is being a complete pain to repair. I searched and read a couple of threads about replacement fenders being bad. Has anyone ordered them recently or have any experience with them or the door skins?

I assume mid fifty and hot rods probably get them from the same place?

Are you looking for steel or fiberglass? (Im assuming steel)

From what I have read, Midfifty and Midwest Early ford stock descent parts.

I just ordered a ton of new sheetmetal from several suppliers. Unfortunately, I believe they all get their stuff from the same place (Taiwan). Mid fifty floor pans are pretty good, front cab corners lined up well, but their rear cab corners take a bunch of work. Ditto on the inner door bottoms, my outers were fine. Front fenders and inner fenders were fine, but be prepared to invest some time in adjusting the fit.
I ordered the bed and tailgate from Dennis Carpenter, thinking I could get it quicker. Took just as long to get here. Packaging on the Carpenter parts was incredible, but fit and finish was just passable. All in all, I think you'll be happy with what's available. Mid Fifty has been more than good to me, and the shipping deal cant be beat right now.

Just bought a seat from a guy in Gilbert AZ and he had a decent pair of front fenders for $200. for the pair, needed a little work but a 100% better than the ones I fixed, actually they are on craigslist - Phoenix - AZ under auto parts just type in 1956 ford and search

Not sure if you mean front or rear. I got a pair of repop front fenders ( then I hacked them all up lol ). They fit well and look nice. One had a flaw and one of the brackets (top front mounts to air deflector) is spot welded on wrong. Easy fix though. Blue oval brand. The stamping looks good and lines crisp.
