Finally Trey, a rig worthy of your skills! It looks lifted.

That's their favorite joke, buzzing unsuspecting off-roaders. It happened to me in Saline Valley- nearly jumped outta my skin!

I have researched and found out that my truck was noncatalytic converter from the factory. So, I am positive that I can run EO headers.

question: Can I run dual exhaust?

Researched where? 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog lists 1977 F250 351M/400 2WD/4WD with and without converters.

If you don't need a Cat then yes you can go dual exhaust. The state doesn't care.

Was laying on my back with a grinder and wire wheel all morning under the Fairlane.
Can't leave bare metal with El Nino coming to town.
I think my arms are gonna fall off.
I used scotchbrite pads on the rollcage and cleared them. Looks cool as heck.
Underneath some Por 15 spray for the main steel then enamel for the rest after seam sealer.
Still have to repair the toe boards but almost done with the dirty part.
Well to celebrate Nanc and I are meeting friends at "The Old Place" tonight for big nasty steaks and vino. Damn life suks. Not.

1) the general internet consensus is that 77 F250s did not have cats.

2)I have headers on it now that are pretty rusty, and the registration history was current up to 2012.

3) a smog shop owner that I spoke to, believes #1 and agrees with #2.

I am going to tape up a few holes and give it a shot. If it doesnt pass, at least I can find out why and fix it.

Uh huh. How many of the 'general internet consensus' have the 1973/79 Ford truck parts catalog?

Thank you Bill.

I looked that over before, but it doesnt pinpoint if mine did or not, as far as I can see.

The smog guy has a book that he can look it up in.

Mine says "if so equipped", which means that it has it or not. As long as I have everything else listed, which I do, than it can be assumed that it didnt have a cat.
I am not going to argue with him, lol.

My truck is 4400 GVW, and is not a Ranchero, so it is identified by the one with the "43".

Thank you.
I'll keep that in mine for when the big stuff has to go in.
I used to be able to lift things pretty easily. Getting harder now.
Also my garage fridge is always well stocked with beverages.

I have a stapler Jim

As far as the meal last night. One of my top ten favorites of all time.
Highly recommend The Old Place.
We had such a good time and the meal was so well priced we tipped 100%
Just one of those nights.
I should add we had a 50 dollar gift cert.
