Thanks Josiah. We'll see, hopefully the used truck market will come down to reality at some point. But at the moment I'd rather buy new for the price used trucks are commanding. We'll see, don't think I'm gonna rush into anything. I'll probably buy something before the end of the year.
The first real snowfall may accelerate that timetable some.

There is a reason that the new Vikings stadium, like the old one, are domes. Between the cold and the snow, indoors is good. As is a capable 4-wheel drive vehicle.
I will definitely agree with you on the price of used vs. new if you're looking at anything within even 6 or 7 years. There are still some 08 trucks fetching over 20k. That's a bit ridiculous as far as I am concerned. That's basically what stopped me looking at trucks when I bought my car. There was no way I could justify paying 20k plus on a truck that was rusting away and had 100k or more miles on it. Especially on a truck that is known to have cam phaser problems. Those problems are accentuated on a vehicle that was poorly maintained...something you have minimal record of in the used truck market.

Morning,
Got to love the weather.
Every day is Friday for me. retired.
I'm not cooking this weekend, Kathy is doing something in the crock pot. So I'll drink a few beers and relax with the other campers.
Saw a 1948 Ford F100 for sale. In sad shape and missing parts. He is asking $8,000. I'm offering $3,000. It is missing the emergence brake assembly in the cab. Cab has rust and needs work. I believe the front fenders are from an earlier year. Motor is in tact will turn but not starting. Will take a lot of work. If he takes it I'll will have a new hobby.

Good evening Connecticut!
Did you get that truck John?
Took a deposit on the Lincoln today. The guy had the cash, but his uncle was concerned with how Minnesota would handle a car from a state where it was too old to title. I'll be calling the DMV tomorrow and it'll probably be gone by tomorrow evening.
