I'm wanting to start a Mercury unibody registry and saw your post. Mercury pickup website has been up but without response for a year so I'm trying to build a list. Please send me a pic of your truck, pic of the vin and your email address. You can send by PM to keep private or send to my direct email afreeman5662@gmail.com. I have sought help from other clubs to help with this effort, both in Canada and USA. I am wanting to identify how many are still around, running, projects, abandon or salvage yards. Your help would be greatly appreciated! I am willing to share my sources and print materials regarding these trucks with other Mercury unibody owners.

Pireaux,
i bought my Mercury Unibody in 1997, and on may 24, 2000, I received a letter from ford of canada from Sandra Notarianni who was the historical consultant at that time, she mentioned that there was 3257 mercury light trucks built for 1961, all in canada. now i am not sure if that just goes to the M 350 model or what, all my photos are 35 mm i need to scan them to the computer, there happens to be one photo of it in the 67 to 72 forum thats titled "some of my ford trucks" but its a front shot of it sitting in a shed. i can snap a few pics later of the Vin plate and a side shot but the older pics will look better. my serial # gives this info 51532A-5661022NL
51532 = unit # built in dec 1960
A = GVW 0 -5000 lbs
5 = 6 cyl mercury truck
66 = pickup body
10 = M-100 series
22 = 122" WB
N = 1961 year model
L = left hand drive built in Oakville, Ontario

66 is the body style for a Uni pickup, 99 is the body style for other than Uni Stylesides.
10 = 100 series, could be Ford or Merc.
Both Ford & Mercury trucks were assembled specifically for the Canadian market, they were not sold new in the US

Yes kjvforme i am interested
i am interested in any vin's you have for Mercury unibodies. Also anything you have for decoding them would be great. What I don't have is anything regarding how to decode the build month. I can decode the rest of the warranty plate. You can PM me when you have time and direct any of the Mercury unibody owners to me. Thanks
