- Tailgate Step*
- All-Weather Floor Mats
- Navigation*
- Wheel Well Lines
1. I could not use it with my trailer attached.
2. I wanted a FLAT tail gate for loading and sitting on. However, I did add a Best Step under the bumper when I got it home.
Ford Mats Suck! Get some REALLY MATS, like the Husky X-act Fits.
Navigation. Don't like Fords. Garmin is cheaper and better. Plus I can update it a lot easier & cheaper.
Wheel Well Lines. They are nice, and about the same $$ as after the fact.

The Husky mats are definitely on my list as well. I really like the ones in my Focus ST. I opted for the Ford rubber mats to get me by until I get around to ordering the Huskies. The carpeted mats on my Focus were trashed in the week I used them before my liners showed up for it.
I agree a Garmin or phone will beat any built-in nav unit, but I'll likely still order it because I think not having it on the display would drive me crazy. I use the nav in my Focus quite a bit, but only after looking up the address of where I want to go on my phone.

It's there, under the FX4 package. That's one of the biggest "must haves" for me and is part of the reason no truck on the lot will fit the bill; it seems like no dealers around here order the FX4 package for some reason.

To my knowledge the FX4 package is:
I was unaware that locking rear-end was included.
FX4 Off-Road Package (4x4 only; n/a on F-450; other restrictions apply) includes transfer case and fuel tank skid plates, Hill Descent Control™ (SRW only), Rancho® shocks and FX4 Off-Road box decals.
I was unaware that locking rear-end was included.
Below are the options I currently have on the build:
- Camper Package
- FX4 Off Road Package
- Lariat Interior Package
- Tailgate Step*
- Wheel Well Liners*
- 5th Wheel Hitch Prep*
- Engine Block Heater
- Transmission PTO Provision*
- Dual Alternators
- All-Weather Floor Mats
- Heated Rear Seats

Locking rear end is a required option when selecting the FX4 pkg...

The wheel well liners are good but if you deal with road salt you still need to stay on top of rinsing it out back there. Crud still gets loaded inside the body panels around the rear wheels.
I got the transmission pto option because I'm hoping to keep this truck for a while and I always feel that the pto option is under utilized by the aftermarket industry and I keep hoping that a company will offer an economical line of products to take advantage of this. An air system or generator are always on my mind but it's unlikely I'd ever use it. Might be a mistake on my part to have ordered it.
Have fun waiting!

Another thing to think of is the sun roof gets rid of a lot of head room. I'm 6'4 and have had an 03 F350 xlt and an 03 F350 king ranch with sunroof and the xlt had a good 3" + of head room compared to my current truck. And I think I've only opened it once myself, I'm scared it'll start to leak. My friends usually open it though lol
