My '91 F 150 AC is not cooling well. I put in an all new 134 A system last year, including a '94 (134 A) Condenser and now it not working good again. I discharged the system after replacing the Pressure Relief Valve on the hose manifold (was leaking). I evacuated and recharged the system with 40 oz. of 134. It cools but not to well. The gauges read approx. 30 psi on the low side and 50 psi on the high. I think my baby may need another Compressor, Accumulator and Orifice Tube. What's the MOST reliable Compressor out there. Motorcraft. It's what came with the truck originally and probably lasted a good long while.

Not sure who makes that compressor for Ford/Motorcraft but it's probably Visteon.

 

Sanden makes a good compressor. Most models are made in the USA too.
