Calgary,AB to Chicago,IL to Shawano ,WI

Just thought I would make a post here in the forums for us OBS 7.3 guys letting some of you know of a trip I am taking soon.

Going to be leaving Calgary Alberta on Saturday August 29th in the AM Chicago bound with my 1997 F350 CCLB and my 16ft car hauler and drift car. There is an event Sep 5/6 in Shawano ,WI i will be attending.

This will be the longest trip i have made in this rig and I just like to put feelers out for anyone that may be close to my route and very knowledgeable with our trucks shall I need it!, I myself am and will be travelling with a Auto Enginuity dongle and laptop so I don't for see any issues.

Happy Travels Everyone!

There's a chance I'll end up visiting Calgary some day. We do a lot of business there.

How much does that car weigh? She's pointed to the clouds! I've never had mine do that with 10,000 lbs on the trailer

I think it looks like that because of the angle of the picture and the lift on the truck. My brother's truck looks the same way when he puts a trailer on it. The suspsension just barely settles and it looks worse than it actually is because of the lift

It's not the angle of the photo. When you look at the bottom edge of the cab, and the curb behind it, there's an angle between them.

With the lift, you probably need a receiver drawbar with more drop.

hey guys yeah since that picture i have got a receiver with a few more inches of drop. that one was not quite low enough and caused it to drag it down.

Needless to say i am back home safe and sound 5500km later. the truck ran absolutely flawless and i got roughly 14-16mpg towing that with my box and cab loaded

the trailer had a blowout and and some other breakdowns but the truck did great. super happy with it aside from my high EGTS which i know i because of tuning. i just kept it slow going up the hills and such to keep them in line, no rush.
