Did I just screw up? Adding PAG to evaporator?

Hey all, thanks for reading. 95 Explorer compressor got so hot it melted the belt to the pulley. So I replaced it with a new one. Pulled the orifice valve and aside from coated in oil it was clean, no shavings at all. The parts store was out of stock on the accumulator (one on truck was about a year old) so I couldnt change it. New compressor in place, system vacuumed, recharged. Blowing 48-50 in the cab. Two days later compressor starts cycling and started blowing warm. Checked with gauges and charge was same, no leaks. parked vehicle.

Two days later new accumulator came in so I replaced it along with a new orifice tube. Drained old accumulator and added same amount of PAG + 1 oz. I blew out the evaporator with compressed air and noticed oil coming out, so I added another ounce to it. Closed the system up, vacuumed and recharged.

Temp coming from vents is now 70 with same 134a charge as before. Drops to 65 while driving.

I drained the compressor to measure pre installed PAG, 4 oz. I added 3 oz. to accumulator, and as mentioned 1 oz. to evaporator. Any residual oil in the system probably has me between 8-9 oz pAG. while troubleshooting I read 7 oz is system recommendation.

Im all ears and ready for a beat down if needed. Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Brian

Curious for additional information;
What are your high side and low side pressures while running and at what ambient air temp?
Did you flush the system?
Did you "blow out" the condenser?
After draining the oil out of the compressor, did you refill the compressor before buttoning up the system and charging it?

Low side was 50 and high side was 250. Ambient air temp was around 90

No on flushing the system other then blowing out the evap.

Didnt blow out the condenser.

I replaced the four ounces of PAG that came out of the compressor back into the unit.

FYI the temp out of the vents dropped another five degrees, so its now blowing 60 degrees on the highway.
