The seller just misplaced the decimal point one or two places to the right.

 

I don't see 42,000 dollars worth of truck there. It does have a 383 In it though. Don''t see that too often.

 

Note that it is a "private listing" and the poster can't spell or speak english. I smell scam artist at work.

He got almost 10 words spelled right, lousy pictures, not enough pictures, the paint doesn't look very good, love the way he covered up the license plate by kicking or throwing mud on it, and $42,000 and it hasn't met the reserve yet. I am with Ax, some kind of a scam going on.

 

An ebay "private sale" is one specially set up for a prearranged sale between a buyer and seller that desire to use ebay to make the transaction. only the bidder specified by the seller when listing can bid and only at the listed price.

 

Maybe laundering drug money??

310 is an LA area code and is legit for the El Segundo area.
VIN beginning with an "E" is an issue however.
Assuming statements regarding an ebay "private listing" are correct...why would a seller set up a reserve and not have the item offered as a "buy it now"? If only one bidder is allowed then why didn't the first bidder meet the reserve?
Even here in SoCal there are many 56 BBW F100s available in the $25K-30K range, so this slant cab is WAY over priced even for this area.
