Rear ProAir Conversion Van Harness Warning

Rear ProAir Conversion Van Harness Warning
Just a heads up, I was looking at insulation and access to the rear quarter panel so I pulled the rear A/C box off and found the Harness shorting out on the motor shaft. There are 3 Relays, in-line 15 amp fuse, Vacuum line, Blower Resistor, Body Ground, just jammed up in there with an open center Blower wheel pointed up. So if you have a Van Conversion with rear Heat and A/C you might want to check it out sometime...............

I've dug into a few scrapped conversion vans looking for A/C ducts----have encountered more than a few wiring nightmares related to add-on rear HVAC units. If the wiring itself isn't a mess the electrical connections are downright scary, at least to me.
I'm a bit **** about wire terminations, either solder or a proper ratcheting-type crimping tool are the only ways I'll do this. Nothing more aggravaing than having to dig back through a lot of build out panels, insulation etc etc trying to find a connection issue.
BTW Pro-Air doesn't make or supply any wiring harnesses---they leave that to the end user. Great products but I guess its smart on their part staying keeping to their strengths--too many possible variations in end use to really get into the actual wiring harness game.
Thanks for the heads up------good info!

I have a ProAir system as well. Indeed the wiring was a made up Mark III harness. Mine may be a different system since it is totally enclosed. It may be best to buy some wiring and connectors and repair the harness than to but a new one.
One Ford approved method for removing an inaccessible short is to just run new wire parallel to the existing harness.
