It's not an easy job. You have to support the engine and transmission and remove the left hand transmission mount to get the pan off. There isn't much room in there.
And when you get it all done you might still have the same problem. Depending on WHICH TCC code is set it could be the wiring to the solenoid.

Just because the code indicated a fault does not mean that particular item is wonky. Merely there is a problem in that circuit.
Similar to an underinflated tire message being displayed. You would not replace the tire, valve stem and rim.
Clear the code.
Inspect all wiring to the connector.
Look for water or oil intrusion. Green fuzzies are bad too. g
As Mark indicated. This is not a user friendly transmission.
