OK.... This thread has caused nothing but arguments and bickering among those who supposedly know their stuff.

For the rest of you, who are looking for an honest answer, I do not think you will find it here. I ended up replacing a whole bunch of stuff and being told and accused of a lot.

Ends up I had bad INJECTORS which no test showed.

So to all I say Thank you. , and be careful on the advice you give out. I know it is hard to diagnose either over the phone or on the "net".

Well I wouldn't put too much stock in the disagreeable parts of your thread. Anytime you get such a varied group of folks together on tech issues, urination distance contests sometime break out.

This is the first generation of truly integrated computer EFI/power-train control in ford trucks. As they age, we are seeing all manner of issues that NO ONE could plan or for-see. Ford had/has no interest in seeing these trucks on the road. In their mind we should all just go buy a new one.

Shrug off the the BS & stick around. We're all just human with all the associated faults that go with that.

And I was the one who thought it might be fuel related by the way....
