Wow. I understand and respect your desire to replace the cats, but the transmission is a whopper.
Are you sure it's bad?
Sometimes people mistake engine performance problems for transmission problems.

Just asking.

No the transmission has been a problem since I got the truck and had 140,000 miles on it. Spent $1200 at the transmission shop only to get it back doing the exact same thing. So I crawled under the truck and found the transmission cooling line had been pinched between the mount with the radiator sitting on top of it choking off the cooling line. Have had slippage problems since driving the truck home when I bought it. It's just time replace it. Previous owner was a mechanic , replace the motor and somehow carelessly placed the trans cooling line under the radiator,(radiator and radiator mount squashed) I fixed it but too late. A friend of mine is using his ford discount to get me a new trans 2030.00. It's my truck that I use for commercial refrigeration repair so it needs to be dependable.

If that's a Ford reman'd transmission and carries their warranty its a good price. If I didn't know more than a few very qualified transmission rebuilders I'd go the OEM route without question. In fact I'd opt for Ford over Jasper or the other aftermarket rebuilders even though there are many great products in that area already.

Shame about the PO pinching the line-----crap does happen on occasion though.
