hangers ??

[QUOTE=ryans88gt;15603129]
I didn't cut the perches and reweld, I just used a 6 degree pinion shim bolted to the springs. explorer springs with stock mounts.

drptop - you are right, my springs are hung on some year newer F100 style perches.

I'm having a hard time locating hangers that will give the correct 34" dimension when using the stock explorer 8.8 & spring setup. Anyone know what year F100 I should look for or am I just misunderstanding? Thx

What is the 34" dimension you are referring to?

With the explorer axle perches being only 39"ctr with 2 1/2" springs and the f1 frame 34" wide, I was thinking I needed (very short or shallow) hangers that would put the inside edge of springs only about 1 1/4" away from the frame. (or 2 1/2 to ctr) Hope I'm making sense.

From pictures I have seen of Ben's rear suspension in his truck he is using the ranger hangers with his explorer rear springs. I dont know if he had to move the perches on the rear axle. I am using the ranger hangers on one truck, dakota hangers on the other, but I put the perches where I needed them on the rear axles. I am not running the explorer rear on my truck, maybe a future one.
